2012 Pinot
Noir, Santa Barbara County (336 cs,
14 Mos 10% New Oak)
Our latest,
and LAST, estate Pinot from my family vineyard near Lompoc. Aged in 10% new oak
for 14 months, it has aromas of black and white pepper, dried cranberry, smoky
oak, and plum, with a hint of violet. This is followed by flavors of plum,
Craisins and pepper and finishes with aromas of cinnamon, cherry, plum,
tobacco, and white pepper. Great by itself or pair with mushrooms stuffed with
bacon and roasted jalapeno and cream cheese.
